Daicong Da
Daicong Da is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He received his Ph.D. from Université Paris-Est (now Université Gustave Eiffel), France, under the supervision of Prof. Julien Yvonnet at the MSME Laboratoire.
Following his doctoral studies, he worked as a researcher at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the Computational Design and Manufacturing Lab (with Prof. Xiaoping Qian) and at Northwestern University in the Integrated Design Automation Laboratory (IDEAL) (with Prof. Wei Chen). Prior to joining RIT, he served as an Assistant Professor at Boise State University.
His teaching includes Solid Mechanics, Introduction to Computation for Engineers, and Multiscale Engineering.

Owen Wortmann
Owen is an incoming Ph.D. student in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with an Applied Mathematics minor, from Boise State University.
His research interests include computational biomechanics, engineering design, structural optimization, and phase-field fracture simulation for multiple engineering applications.
